    Holiday Marketplace supports athletics

Whether you support New Caney middle school and high school sports or are just looking for holiday gifts, you might want to stop by the Holiday Marketplace being put on for the first time by the New Caney Athletic Booster Club, Dec. 5.

A sampling of vendors includes Discovery Toys, Mia Bella soaps, Jewelry 4 Hope, Tupperware, Pampered Chef and others. The event is sponsored by D.R. Horton Homes and Chick-Fil-A. Bring a new unwrapped toy and get a Chick-Fil-A sandwich free from 12 to 1 p.m. Or bring the kids early for a candy cane hunt at 10 a.m. Shopping is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at D. R. Horton model homes in Valley Ranch Subdivision.

“This event will help to raise money for our athletic program, which encompasses our middle schools and high school athletes in every sport,” says ABC Community Relations contact Brandy Smith. “We will also be collecting toys in order to donate to The Mission to help out with their Christmas store for local families.”
