Attention bibliophiles and others who enjoy accommodations at the Kingwood Branch library. The building on Rustic Woods Dr. will close at 5 p.m. March 13, so you’ll want to pick up any holds you have before then if possible. After that date, you’ll be able to pick up any items from the Atascocita branch.

Because the two libraries are only five miles apart, many patrons are already familiar with both locations, said Atascocita branch librarian Beth Krippel. The Atascocita branch will not be expanding its hours to accommodate more customers, but is open Sundays.

“We look forward to serving both populations while the transition to the new library is being made,” Krippel said.

The opening date for the new Kingwood library at 4400 Bens View Lane is 10 a.m. April 19.
