If Valentine’s Day has you thinking about picking up a sweet for your sweet, don’t forget about Cakewalk Bakery, which opened in December off Lake Houston Parkway.

Besides gorgeous heart-shaped cookies, they’ll be creating a heart-shaped confection made of red velvet cake with a cheesecake layer (special orders).

Elite Treats, at the front of Kingwood, has large Valentine shaped cakes and cookies in various flavors that can be covered with dips and glazes. And some smaller treasures: heart-shaped chocolates that say “I love you,” or another message of your choice.
