Have you heard about the Kingwood Civic Club’s big garage sale coming up this Sunday?
The sale sets up on the Lone Star College-Kingwood campus with between 65 to more than 100 vendors, according to KCC president Sandra Lee.
"We allow buyers to start coming in and shopping around 6:30 a.m. as long as the sellers have been able to unload their vehicles and move them to the back of the parking lot,” Lee says. “We always have an interesting variety of vendors at each sale. It's not unusual to see a complete living room set up in the parking lot next to a vendor selling handmade jewelry or antique golf clubs. Car seats, lawn mowers, lamps and bedding seem to show up in every form and fashion."
Local Boy Scouts will also be on site selling refreshments. The garage sale, in the parking lot across from campus off Sorters-McClellan Road, ends at 2 p.m.
It’s not too late for vendors to be a part of the sale, Lee says. They can download an application at www.kingwoodcivicclub.org, bring it with them the day of the sale, and still get in for pre-sale prices. (See the Web site for details).
The Civic Club meets the first Monday of each month at various restaurants. To come, email KingwoodCivicClub@yahoo.com to get the location, or call Lee at 713-822-3067.
