    Town Hall meeting on tap March 23

    The following news release comes from Houston City Council member Mike Sullivan's office:

    Council Member Mike Sullivan will be hosting a town hall meeting Tuesday, March 23, 2010 for his Kingwood constituents. This town hall meeting will be combined with a public hearing on the proposed rate increase by Entergy Texas Inc.

    The meeting will be held in the teaching theater at Creekwood Middle School located at 3603 W. Lake Houston Parkway, Kingwood, TX 77339. The town hall meeting will begin at 6:00 pm, and the Public Hearing will follow from 7:00 pm until 8:00 pm.

    Council Member Sullivan invites the residents of Kingwood to voice their concerns, questions or suggestions for the Kingwood area.

    "Constituent services are my number one priority," says Sullivan. "Keeping the lines of communication open is extremely important to me."

    At Council Member Sullivan's request, the City of Houston Administration and Regulatory Affairs Department will conduct a public meeting to consider public comment regarding the proposed rate changes for customers with the City of Houston limits. There are approximately 1, 372 customers in the Kingwood area.

    All motions to Intervene must be on file with the City Secretary's office by March 22, 2010 at 5:00pm.

    Council Member Sullivan encourages the community to attend this joint meeting.
