Lance M. Pendleton pitched four innings, striking out one and allowing one earned run Wednesday in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees's 2-1 loss at the Norfolk Tides. Pendleton graduated from Kingwood High School.

Pendleton is a 2002 graduate of Kingwood High School and a 13th-round draft pick (385th overall) of the San Diego Padres in the 2002 Major League Baseball draft. Instead of signing with San Diego, Pendleton accepted a baseball scholarship at Rice University and played three seasons (2003 to 2005) for the Owls.
