HS girls softball: Kingwood Park vs. New Caney

Kingwood Park fell to New Caney, 11-1, in District 18-4A high school girls softball action on Thursday.

The loss ends Kingwood Park’s regular season at 7-7 overall and 7-4 in district play. Ally Morris took the loss for the Black Panthers.

New Caney finishes its season on a winning note, upping its record to 11-10 overall and 9-4 in district play.

Jennifer Staruska picked up the win for the Eagles. Sarah Upchuch went deep in the victory.
