A single right turn lane will be installed at the intersection of Kingwood Drive and Green Oak Drive.
The lane will help drivers heading west along Kingwood Drive, toward US-494, make a northbound turn onto Green Oak Drive.
The other existing lanes will shift south, calling for some work on the nearby median to accommodate the shift.
The busy intersection has been stretched to the extreme with commuters heading to the cluster of nearby businesses, which include a stand-alone Starbucks, Kingwood Psychiatry, Fountain Skin Care Center and more.
Construction is expected to start this month and wrap up during the first quarter of 2010.
