Homewood Suites tops Kingwood hotels in July

Homewood Suites, located at 23320 Highway 59 N, earned the most revenue in July among hotels in Kingwood with $160,603.57, according to Texas tax records.

The hotel, which has a capacity of 75, posted $143,122.47 in taxable receipts.

 

Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites, located at 22675 Highway 59 N, was second in revenue with $99,565.16 and taxable receipts of $97,058.67.

 

Overall, the 12 hotels in Kingwood earned a total of $346,259.05 in receipts and $317,954.47 in taxable receipts in July.

 

Included in taxable receipts are traditional room rentals, along with meeting and banquet room rentals. 

 

Exempt from taxable receipts are federal government employees, certain state officials, and other exempt organizations and individuals.
