Insight Expo to provide information, networking opportunities to visually impaired
The University Eye Institute’s Center for Sight Enhancement in the University of Houston’s College of Optometry will host the inaugural Houston Area Insight Expo this Saturday.
The Insight Expo, presented by the Houston Area Visually Impaired Network, aims to inform the blind and visually impaired of local resources available to them. Workshop topics will include strategies and issues for caregivers, iPhone and iPad accessibility, talking book programs, assistive technology and MetroLift, according to the press release.
This event will take place on Saturday, March 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the University of Houston’s College of Optometry, 4901 Calhoun Road. The cost is $5 for the day and includes lunch.
