Kingwood quilt guild to offer judged show, activities
The Kingwood Area Quilt Guild will present its 14th biennial show, Quilt Round-Up "Texas Style,” on Friday, April 15, and Saturday, April 16, at the Humble Civic Center.
The Kingwood Area Quilt Guild will present its 14th biennial show, Quilt Round-Up "Texas Style,” on Friday, April 15, and Saturday, April 16, at the Humble Civic Center.
The event will feature a judged show with hundreds of quilts judged by nationally recognized Bobbie Aug, lectures by Nancy Zieman of television’s "Sewing with Nancy," a live auction on April 15 with local auctioneer Rodney Foster, vendors on the Main Street Shopping Mall, daily silent auctions of miniature quilts with live bid-offs, a "Chuck Wagon" café, and special exhibits, classes and demonstrations, plus more.
Additionally, there will be an online auction going on through Monday, April 11, at www.biddingforgood.com as a preview to the live auction so that people can make absentee bids.
The show will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 15 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 16. General admission tickets are $8 and $6 for seniors. Children age 12 and under are free.
The Humble Civic Center is located at 8301 Will Clayton Parkway.
