Humble resident, Montrose bar blamed for fatal car accident
Parents are suing a Humble woman and a Montrose-area bar after, they say, a drunk driver killed their 25-year-old son.
Raymond and Sandra Hundl, on behalf of Gregory Hundl’s estate, filed a lawsuit on June 8 in Harris County District Court against Humble resident Michele Arnold and Escobar, on Montrose, alleging negligence and negligence per se.
The Hundls say that on July 24, 2010, their son, Gregory Hundl, was killed when a drunken Arnold crashed into him and his motorcycle at the intersection of U.S. 59 and FM 525. Prior to the accident, Arnold had been drinking heavily at Escobar, where employees continued to serve her alcoholic beverages even though she was obviously dangerously intoxicated, according to the brief.
The Hundls are seeking compensatory and exemplary damages, as well as court costs. They are being represented in the case by Beaumont attorney B. Adam Terrell.
