Kingwood Area Republican Women to host Senate candidate forum
Kingwood Area Republican Women are holding a fundraiser that will allow interested community members to meet candidates who hope to take Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson's seat.
The fundraiser's theme is "Peace through Strength." In addition to providing a forum for future senate candidates to speak, the event will celebrate the Centennial Birthday of Ronald Reagan with a memorabilia exhibit. The schedule for the evening is as follows: a VIP reception will begin at 5:30 p.m. where guests can watch the club's silent auction. Dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m. The forum, moderated by Harris County District Attorney Pat Lykos, will begin afterward. Reservations should be made by Sept. 14 by contacting Carole Covey, 281-358-1579 or ccovey1579@aol.com, or Betty Newton, 281-360-1125 or betnewt@suddenlink.net.Related Stories
