Kingwood Library Friends receive grant
The Kinder Morgan Foundation has donated $5,000 to the Friends of the Library Kingwood, at the Kingwood Brance, 4400 Bens View Lane, Kingwood, for the purchase of downloadable digital media children's books.
FOLK will be able to purchase a combination of audio and eBook formats of classics, award winners, fiction and picture books for the juvenile book collection, which caters to children in preschool and kindergarten through fifth grade.
The library also supports the Lone Star and Texas Bluebonnet Award books for the annual reading programs sponsored by the Texas Library Association.
FOLK also operates a used bookstore, where they sell books donated by members of the community. They donate proceeds to the library. For information about joining FOLK for as little as $20 per year, go to kingwoodfolk.org/membership.
