Anointed Ink is a Christian-based tattoo shop with integrity
Anointed Ink is a new and different tattoo studio located in Huffman. The artists of Anointed Ink have more than 18 years of combined experience in tattooing and piercing. Each Tuesday, Anointed Ink hosts “Tap Out On Tuesday.” Usually, a tattoo session costs $100 per hour, but on Tuesdays a client can receive an unlimited tattoo session for $500. Anointed also has just received a fresh supply of colored piercing jewelry for the summer.
Some tattoo studios can be intimidating and intense, but Anointed Ink exudes a relaxed and welcoming feel. Clients can come and get a custom tattoo or piercing and can play Xbox, watch a movie or contribute to the joyful and boisterous conversations taking place in the studio during their short wait time. While the studio is Christian-based, they accept everyone from all walks of life and would love to be the client’s artists for life.
Scott Hill is the owner of Anointed Ink and also an artist. He grew up in from Humble. Hill is also a praise and worship leader at a local church called God’s Word In Action. He has a few years of tattoo experience, but his talent far outweighs his years of experience. Hill’s idea was to open a tattoo studio where all people can feel comfortable.
“I’m a Christian, and when we say ‘Christian-based tattoo shop,’ people come in that wouldn’t normally go to a church and I get them to talk about God,” Hill said. “A lot of people have problems, and they don’t know where to go. I get to pray for people while I’m tattooing them. People are hurting and nobody goes to get them because they have tattoos and piercings. That’s what I want to change.”
Hill considers Anointed Ink his ministry. Because of this, he wants to change the way people think about tattoos.
