Kingwood restaurant blamed for back injury
A Kingwood restaurant employee is suing over claims she injured her back at work.
Maricela Guerrero filed a lawsuit on May 7 in Harris County District Court against Luby's Inc., citing negligence.
Guerrero says on Dec. 23, 2011, she injured her back while on the clock at Luby's, located at 24004 Highway 59 in Kingwood. The accident allegedly happened when her manager directed her to lift a 50-pound box of lettuce, according to the brief.
Guerrero is seeking damages and court costs. She is being represented in the case by Houston attorney Norman Straub.
