Neighbors Emergency Center Urges Involvement during Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Neighbors Emergency Center (NEC), an emergency care facility with centers in Baytown, Bellaire, Grand Parkway, and Kingwood, urges everyone to get involved and help raise awareness toward the cause, even when October turns into November.

"There are many ways to get involved during the month of October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month," says Myra Graves of NEC.  "Neighbors Emergency Center supports this important cause and offers easy ways you can get involved."

One of the best and immediate ways to get involved is to have the women in the family get regular check-ups.  It is advisable to undergo a breast cancer screening annually.  Also, women are encouraged to learn how to do a breast self-exam and make it a part of their regular monthly routine.

NEC provides services related to breast cancer as well as other cancers.  The facility has a 24-hour imaging and laboratory testing service, and its doctors are board certified emergency physicians.

"Our facilities offer the full services of a standard emergency department, including computed tomographies (CT scan), bedside emergency ultrasounds, radiographs (x-rays), and full service clinical laboratories," the center says on its website. "In addition to our in-house physician, our staff includes registered nurses, radiology technicians, clinical technicians, and administrative assistants."

NEC offers care for adult and pediatric emergencies, trauma and injuries, and cardiology, and they are dedicated to giving prompt attention to patients with little or no waiting time.   It stands by its mission, which is to be the emergency center provider of choice by offering quality, compassionate, and prompt medical care on a concierge level.

For inquiries, please go to the clinic's improved website at http://nec24.com/ or call its corporate office at 713-436-5200, which is located at 10223 Broadway, Suite P, #229 in Pearland.
