Local churches to participate in Operation Christmas Child
Four Houston-area churches are serving as collection sites for Operation Christmas Child Monday to Monday, Nov. 12-19.
Operation Christmas Child collects toys, hygiene items and school supplies for children in need throughout the world, with donations packaged into shoe boxes and hand-delivered to children in 100 countries.
Houston-area churches serving as collection sites include Kingwood First Baptist Church, 3500 Woodland Hills Drive, Kingwood; Faith Bible Church, 5505 Research Forest Drive, The Woodlands; Sagemont Church, 11600 Hughes Road, Houston; and Epiphany Lutheran Church, 14423 West Road, Houston.
Since 1993, Operation Christmas Child has delivered more than 100 million shoe boxes of supplies to children throughout the world. Participants can even register their shoe boxes online and track where their donations go.
