Humble ISD to hold Community Information Night for International Baccalaureate Mission
The Humble Independent School District will hold an informational session on the International Baccalaureate Mission on Tuesday, Nov. 27.
The IBM is a project that seeks to develop young people by providing them with a greater understanding of the world and its cultures. It works with schools, governments and international organizations to create international education programs that encourage participants to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners.
IBM includes three programs for ages 3 to 19. Primary Year programs are for ages 3 to 12 and focus on developing children with no specific focus. Middle Year programs are for ages 11 to 16 and provide a framework of academic challenges and life skills. The Diploma program is for ages 16 to 19 and is a two-year curriculum and provides qualifications that are recognized around the world.
The information session will begin at 6 p.m. Humble High School is located at 1700 Wilson Road, Humble.
