Kingwood grad Logan contributes to Southwestern win
Kingwood High School graduate Valerie Logan scored five points as her Southwestern University (Texas) women's basketrall team scored an 85-73 home win against conference opponent Mary Hardin-Baylor Friday, Nov. 16 in Georgetown, according to Southwestern's website.
The sophomore guard also recorded two rebounds, two assists and a steal for the Pirates, who improved to 1-0 on the season and 1-0 in the Southwestern Tip-Off Tournament. She and Southwestern also played Saturday, Nov. 17 at home against Texas Lutheran.
Logan is a 2011 graduate of Kingwood High School, where she was three-time Academic All-District selection. The kinesiology major from Kingwood is the daughter of Ron and Polly Logan.
