Kingwood Art Society holds fall art show
The Kingwood Art Society held its fall art show and competition event Friday and Saturday, Nov. 9-10 at the pavilion of the Kingwood Country Club.
More than 125 art creations were presented in the competition, which was judged by Tina Szajko, according to a press release.
Shirley Quaid was awarded Best of Show for her oil painting, titled "My Brother and Me." Tatiana Paeva took the People's Choice award and a first-place ribbon for her work, "Communication."
The artwork was displayed and judged in five divisions with eleven categories in each division.
All ribbon winners in this event are eligible to compete in the Lone Star Art Guild Convention competition to be held in conjunction with the Art Expo in July in The Woodlands.
The Kingwood Country Club is at 1700 Lake Kingwood Trail.
