Humble feeds 3,400 people at Thanksgiving feast
Live music provided background for the 2012 Humble Thanksgiving Feast held at the Humble Civic Center.
A volunteer corps of 850 people fed about 3,400 at the 2012 Humble Thanksgiving Feast at the Humble Civic Center.
According to a press release, the event had sponsors at many levels who made the event possible. The city of Humble donated the use of the civic center along with staffing.
The signature sponsor for the dinner was Humble Surgical Hospital, and gold level sponsors included Krogers, Houston Gold and Silver, Gulf State Abrasive and Waste Connection.
"We wish that there was a way to individually thank each different business, organization and individual who helped pull this together, but there are just too many, including some who remain anonymous," said E.B. Beasley, of First United Methodist Church in Humble and leader of the event, according to the release.
