Kingwood Park grad Brown plays in Coast Guard loss

Kingwood Park High School graduate Larla Brown scored nine points a 52-45 loss by her U.S. Coast Guard Academy to conference opponent Wheaton Wednesday, Nov. 28 in New London, the Academy's website reported.

Brown also recorded four rebounds for the Bears, who are 2-3 on the season and 0-1 in the New England Athletic Conference.

The Coast Guard Academy's next game is 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1 at home against Clark.

Brown, a 5-foot-10 junior forward for the Coast Guard, is a 2010 graduate of Kingwood Park High School. She is a Kingwood native.
