Kingwood High grad Singletary plays in Texas Tech University loss
Mike Singletary played for Texas Tech University in an 80-75 loss at home against McNeese State University on Sunday, Dec. 16, according to Texas Tech University's website.
The senior forward and the Red Raiders are 5-2 on the season.
Texas Tech University's next game is at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19 at home against Alabama.
From 2004 to 2008, Singletary played for coach Royce Huseman at Kingwood High School in Humble. During his play at Kingwood, the Mustangs won the state title in 2005 and went 39-3 in his senior season in 2007.
Singletary was rated the No. 5 player in Texas by Rivals.com and also received TABC Class 5A All-Region honors.
He is the son of Clem and Carmen Singletary.
