Jesse H. Jones Park & Nature Center offers classes
Jesse H. Jones Park and Nature Center in Humble is offering three classes.
An arbor day celebration class will be offered at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19 and Sunday, Jan. 20.
According to a press release from Jesse H. Jones Park & Nature Center, "Celebrate Texas Arbor Day by adopting a tree and take home a free sapling and get information on tree planting and care. Exhibits and activities highlight local forest plants."
A winter tree identification walk class will be offered at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19.
According to the press release, "Join a staff naturalist for a walk in the park to learn how to identify dormant trees using the bark, twigs and other characteristics. Open to all ages."
A girl scout junior aid workshop class will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26.
According to the press release, "Junior Girl Scouts can earn this mentoring badge as they assist Brownies with the hiker badge. Reservations required beginning Wednesday, Jan. 2."
