Olympian inspires Summer Creek swimmer
A: Aaron Peirsol. I like that he’s a very talented backstroker. He was very strong in his swims and set several world records that still stand. I don’t know much about the Olympic athletes, but he’s among my favorites.
Q: Who inspires you the most?
A: I would say my mom ... She’s very determined. She’s a very quick thinker, and I admire that about her and try to learn from her as much as I can.
Q: Do you plan on swimming in college?
A: Most definitely. I plan on going to some Division 1 school. I’m not sure which one exactly, but I’m starting to look at Stanford as an option.
Q: Do you have any pre-race rituals?
A: I just pray before my race.
