Humble Family Skate Center rings in the New Year in style

Join Humble Family Skate Center as it celebrates the holidays with special events and themed parties. From 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 22, the skate center will be having a pajama party. Wear those cool pajamas while skating the night away with family and friends.

From 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. on Dec. 29, Humble Family Skate Center will host a New Year's celebration black-out party. The black-out skate event will also feature a dance at 10 p.m. Participants should bring flashlights, and glow sticks will also be available. Admission is only $7, with inline skates extra.

"We have always been very family-oriented and enjoy all of our skaters," Humble Family Skate Center's Gloria Tate said. "My children and I have worked here since the beginning. We have had good years and bad years, but it is all worth it."

Humble Family Skate Center would also like to announce its holiday hours. It will be closed Dec. 21, Dec. 24 and Dec. 25, as well as Dec. 31. Regular business hours will resume on Jan. 1.

Humble Family Skate Center is located at 320 N. Houston Ave. in Humble. For more information about the holiday parties, call 281-446-9232 or visit it on the Web at www.humbleskate.com. The skate center is open Tuesday through Sunday.

About Humble Family Skate Center

Humble Family Skate Center is a family-owned and -operated business that has been providing family entertainment to the community since 1977. It offers public skating times, toddler roll about times, private parties, birthday package parties, holiday events, school and church fundraisers, private and group skating lessons, and speed team practices.

The family skate center has been a popular hangout for many around the community, and the old school feeling of putting on a pair of roller skates or roller blades keeps everyone coming back for more, even with their own children.
