Kingwood runners complete 2012 MetroPCS Dallas Marathon - Half Marathon

Eleven Kingwood athletes completed the 2012 MetroPCS Dallas Marathon - Half Marathon on Sunday, Dec. 9.

The runners from Kingwood and their finishing times were Walter Scherr, 1:47:38; Sophie Webb, 1:55:37; Dan Jacks, 1:57:02; John Vickers, 2:03:21; Hope Ward, 2:10:29; Gary Chapman, 2:12:44; Colleen Orth, 2:14:18; Clay Crawford, 2:20:22; Hanna Ward, 2:35:32; Debbie Ward, 2:35:32; and Brian Shah, 2:51:17.

According to organizers, 9,878 runners finished the 13.1-mile race, which began and ended in downtown Dallas.

Andrew Letherby, of Austin, was the men's overall winner with a finishing time of 1:09:45, while Ashley Johnson, of Dallas, was the winner in the women's category with a time of 1:21:37.
