Lunch Bunch scheduled for Feb. 13
The Lunch Bunch, sponsored by the Mercer Arboretum and Botanic Gardens, will be held Wednesday, Feb. 13.
The event will run from noon to 2 p.m.
According to a release, "Darnell Schreiber, Phyllis McFarlane, and the March Mart Vegetable and Fruit committee present this new program in the format of a panel which will discuss tomato varieties from heirloom, cherries, specialties, and big disease-resistant varieties. Successful growing techniques will be covered. Sweet and hot peppers will be explored, as well as good choices for miscellaneous spring vegetables for our area. Diseases, insects, and resources will be touched upon as well as recipes to handle an over-abundant harvest."
The event will be held at Mercer Arboretum and Botanic Gardens, 22306 Aldine Westfield Road, Humble.
