12 Kingwood runners complete Piney Woods 10-Mile Trail Run

Twelve Kingwood athletes completed the Piney Woods 10-Mile Trail Run on Saturday, Feb. 9 in Houston.

The runners from Kingwood and their finishing times were Caroline Chamness, 1:22:52; Stephen Jones, 1:27:58; Jennifer Wilson, 1:28:05; Chris McGauley, 1:32:44; Pat Bradley, 1:34:14; Pamela Snapp, 1:34:14; Elaine Smith, 1:36:29; Rochell Lester, 1:42:11; Jim Surratt, 1:55:55; Kathy Bradley, 1:58:20; Chris Zukowski, 2:02:42; and Steve Potlock, 2:02:43.

Race organizers said 94 runners finished the 10-mile race, which began and ended at Lake Houston Park.

Will Young, of Nacogdoches, was the men's overall winner with a finishing time of 1:02:32, while Leighann Ganzar, of Houston, was the winner in the women's category with a time of 1:13:54.
