Kingwood Park grad Brown contributes to US Coast Guard Academy win
Kingwood Park High School graduate Larla Brown contributed two points in the U.S. Coast Guard Academy's 64-56 win over conference rival Wellesley College on Wednesday, Feb. 13 in Wellesley, Mass., the U.S. Coast Guard Academy website reported.
The U.S. Coast Guard Academy junior forward also recorded four rebounds, two steals and one block for the Bears, who improved to 10-13 on the season and 8-9 in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference.
The U.S. Coast Guard Academy's next game is 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16 at home against Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Brown, a 5-foot-10 junior forward for the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, is a 2010 graduate of Kingwood Park High School. She is a Kingwood native.
