20 Kingwood runners complete Rhythm and Blues 5K
Twenty Kingwood athletes completed the Rhythm and Blues 5K on Sunday, Feb. 10 in Houston.
The runners from Kingwood and their finishing times were Tyler Beck, 20, 22:17; Ann Smith, 48, 28:55; Ron Smith, 49, 29:08; Patrick Bogutyn, 34, 29:29; Morgan Bocca, 22, 31:06; Emily Anaya, 12, 31:43; David Simko, 44, 31:44; Carrie Bayne, 33, 32:54; Jennifer Goddard, 35, 32:54; Jared Brayton, 24, 34:21; Jessica Turner, 24, 34:57; Marcelle Martinez, 33, 36:05; Jody Beck, 43, 37:44; Irene Benzor, 35, 38:01; Amanda Blons, 31, 40:33; Scott Blons, 32, 40:33; Filiberto Anaya, 42, 41:00; Ethan Anaya, 8, 41:01; Christian Price, 32, 41:07; and Steve Billeisen, 65, 43:02.
Race organizers said 1,174 runners finished the 5K race, which began and ended at Sam Houston Park.
Stephen Ward was the men's overall winner with a finishing time of 17:28, while Rebecca Eggeling was the winner in the women's category with a time of 20:06.
