Kingwood grad Svihovec leads Northern Colorado to victory
Kingwood High School graduate Tevin Svihovec scored a game high 24 points to lead the University of Northern Colorado to a 76-68 home victory over conference rival Northern Arizona University Thursday, Feb. 14 at Butler-Hancock in Greeley, the UNC website reported.
Svihovec also recorded three rebounds, four assists and two steals for the Bears, who improved to 8-15 on the season and 6-9 in the Big Sky Conference.
Northern Colorado's next game is 7:05 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20 at home against North Dakota.
Svihovec is a redshirt sophomore guard for the University of Northern Colorado at Greeley. He is a 2010 graduate of Kingwood High School, where he averaged 17 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals per game. The sport and exercise science major is from Kingwood.
