Kingwood Park grad Brown plays in Coast Guard loss
Kingwood Park High School graduate Larla Brown scored six points as the U.S. Coast Guard Academy's went down to a 59-49 home defeat at the hands of conference rival Worcester Polytechnic Institute on Saturday, Feb. 16 at USCGA Merriman Gym in New London, Conn., the Academy website reported.
The 5-foot-10 junior forward also recorded five rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block for the Bears, who are 10-14 on the season and 8-10 in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference.
The Academy's next game is 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20 at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Brown is a 2010 graduate of Kingwood Park High School. She is a Kingwood native.
