Kingwood grad Svihovec plays in Northern Colorado loss

Kingwood High School graduate Tevin Svihovec scored 12 points in University of Northern Colorado's 64-62 home loss to conference rival University of North Dakota on Wednesday Feb. 20 at the Butler-Hancock in Greeley, the UNC website reported.

Svihovec also recorded seven rebounds and three assists for the Bears, who are 9-16 on the season and 7-10 in the Big Sky Conference.

Northern Colorado's next game is 2:35 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23 at University of California, Davis.

Svihovec is a redshirt sophomore guard for the University of Northern Colorado at Greeley. He is a 2010 graduate of Kingwood High School, where he averaged 17 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals per game. The sport and exercise science major is from Kingwood.
