Kingwood grad Svihovec plays in Northern Colorado loss

Kingwood native Tevin Svihovec contributed nine points to the University of Northern Colorado at Greeley's 79-78 loss to the University of California, Davis on Saturday, Feb. 23, the University of Northern Colorado's website reported.

The redshirt sophomore guard also recorded one rebound and five assists for the Bears, who are 9-17 on the season.

The University of Northern Colorado's next game is at 7:05 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28 on the road against Eastern Washington University.

Svihovec is a 2010 graduate of Kingwood High School, where he averaged 17 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals per game.

He is a sport and exercise science major.
